Recently I went to Brooklyn to visit my brother, on the way there we got caught in a flood, while we were there we experienced an Earthquake and during the flight home there was an eclipse.
When the earthquake started I was about to walk out of my brother’s house to get a bagel and everything started earthquaking. Alicia correctly identified it as an earthquake, I claimed it was the dishwasher and/ or the train. Per usual, my wife was right and I was full of shit. In my defense, I was hungry and focused on bagel.
30 minutes later, my phone, very helpfully made a loud noise to let me know there had been an earthquake earlier, which was super helpful. The bagel was good though.
This sort of sounds like an epic fantasy, especially because we visited an ancient Egyptian tomb — at the museum.
Not My First Brooklyn Earthquake
I used to live in Queens and when I worked as an audio engineer. One time I took the subway to a studio in Brooklyn and back then there wasn’t Internet on the subway and I was running a little late so didn’t look at my phone when I got off the train, I just kinda started hurrying, but noticed everyone was outside for some reason.
when I got to the studio everyone was outside talking about the Earthquake and I was like “what earthquake?” I always wondered if when I was on the subway if I felt earthquake and thaught it was just regular subway vibration or if I didn’t feel it.
