My REM Playlist

I got into REM a little when my my brother and my Dad got into Automatic for the People. But I I love 90s REM so much, “I don’t sleep I dream“. The first one I got was probably Monster. There are a handful of amazing 80s REM songs I love as a 90s kid, but mid90s REM, when they had big and thick sounds, not the 80s more minimal stuff that got remastered poorly for CDs, I loved a lot.

New Adventures In Hi-Fi

This record is moody AF and has them doing the synth thing around the jangly guitar bits and is a lot thicker than their classic stuff.

I love this record, I remember walking to the store to buy the CD, walking home and loving it.Leave is one of my favorite songs ever. Its got a fun synth noise that keeps repeating. This song captures the the “stop trying to “help me” just let me be” feeling so well.
